Terms of Service

By accessing or using Neurako's services — including our iOS app, Android app, and web application at app.neurako.com — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically as they may be updated.

Neurako is an AI-powered flashcard and spaced repetition learning platform. Our service enables you to capture content via photo, audio, or text and transform it into personalised study decks using machine learning algorithms including the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

You must create an account to use Neurako. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 require parental consent.

You agree not to use Neurako to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our services without permission
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage our systems
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation

Neurako uses artificial intelligence to generate flashcard content from your captures. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated flashcards before relying on them for educational purposes.
• AI processing is performed by third-party providers (including Google Gemini) subject to their respective terms of service.
• Your audio recordings and images are transmitted to AI providers solely for the purpose of generating flashcard content.
• AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your content to train their models.

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• Upgrades take effect immediately; prorated charges apply for mid-cycle upgrades
• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you have not made substantial use of paid features
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

The Neurako platform — including its software, design, algorithms, branding, and documentation — is owned by Neurako and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Neurako (“User Content”). By using our service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your flashcard decks, notes, or any other content you create. You may export or delete your content at any time.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your needs
• The service will meet your specific educational or professional requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neurako shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days before permanent deletion, during which you may export it.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Neurako is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
